Oliver and Friends - a surprise French birthday party

It all started with the building of the new Cooper River bridge. This brought new folks to Charleston from all over the world. Among them were Oliver and Sandrine.

Here is a sort of digital sketch, a transformation of one of my morning photos of the new bridge - just to set the mood for the party

One thing led to another and one birthday led to another and things started to happen. Friends happened, Lucille happened and another birthday happened. Here is the story of the birthday.

The boss, Jackie, the most lovable mother-in-law one could have, candles and the birthday boy

Cyril and Maggie

The group and the boss

Jany, smiles and Lucille

Love with eyes wide open

A young boss and a mature boss

Who is the boss?

Nice smiles

Sometimes we are serious

Claudine thinking and Louis smiling

Claudine and Tommy

Tommy and Nancy

And just a reminder of Oliver's magic (May 8, 2005 6:45 am). This is the original image that I used to create the sort-of sketch at the top of this page.
