A visit to the deck - July 21, 2004

This page is sort of a rambling dialog - views of activities that do not yet have a focus. I thought that I would do something about the counterweight system, but could not find a story. So ideas are fermenting and hopefully something interesting will happen - soon.

The beginnings of the jogging and bike trail - along the southern side of the deck

This is the counterweight assembly. Powered by diesel engines, these 125 ton stacks of concrete blocks are used for load balancing.
