August 14, 2004 - After Charley: 8th anchor cable pulled (west), building 7th cable bundle (east)

8th cable pulled (see right side) Note also that the booms of the two platform crans has been dropped to the platform, I suppose in preparation for high winds from Charley

East Pylon

August 14, 2004 - After Hurricane Charley

Closing the West Approach Gap: Note the cap completion on the approach pier and a pair of hurricane cable anchors in the river (lower center)

Closing the East Approach Gap: Note the extension of the channel side of the platform (8th anchor) and forms in place for pouring the cap on the approach pier
